Get Your Brand Cited by AI Search

Your customers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews what to buy before they ever reach your store. We make Australian Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce brands the answer those engines cite, and keep you ranking on Google while we do it.

    • Get named and cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and AI Overviews
    • Rank product and collection pages for buyer-intent searches on Google
    • Grow organic revenue without scaling ad spend

We will show you live what AI says about your brand today, and what it says about your competitors.

Have you ever asked ChatGPT what to buy in your category?

Most brands have not. It takes about two minutes.

Open ChatGPT and type the question your customer would ask. "Best organic skincare brands in Australia." "Where should I buy protein powder online in Australia." "Best baby clothing brands Australia."

Then look at whether you appear.

If you do not, that is not a small gap. That is a shopper who has already made a shortlist, and you are not on it.

We will run this for you, free

Key facts: AI search in 2026

    • 138%

AI-referred traffic to retail sites grew 138% year on year to May 2026, and is up more than 1,300% since October 2024 (Adobe Analytics)

    • 42%

AI-referred traffic converted 42% better than non-AI traffic in March 2026. A year earlier it converted 38% worse (Adobe Digital Insights)

    • 53%

Shoppers arriving from AI referrals spend 53% more time on site and view 23% more pages (Adobe Analytics, May 2026)

    • 1 in 4

Google AI Overviews appear in roughly 25% of searches, up from about 13% a year earlier (Conductor, 21.9 million query analysis)

    • 900M

ChatGPT reached roughly 900 million weekly active users by February 2026 (OpenAI)

    • $82.6B

Australians spent $82.6 billion online in 2025, up 14% year on year (Australia Post eCommerce Report 2026)

"AI referral traffic is still small. It converts 42% better than everything else and it is doubling every year. That is the whole argument for acting now instead of in 2028."

Search did not disappear. It moved.

For twenty years the game was simple. Rank on page one, get the click.

Now a quarter of Google searches return an AI Overview that answers the question outright. Millions of shoppers skip Google entirely and ask ChatGPT. The answer arrives already assembled, with two or three brands named in it.

Ranking first below an AI Overview is worth less than being named inside it.

One. If AI engines cannot read, summarise and attribute your store, you are invisible in the fastest-growing high-intent channel in ecommerce.

Two. Traditional SEO matters more than ever, not less, because the pages AI engines cite are overwhelmingly the pages that already rank.

Being ranked is no longer the same as being found. You need both.

    How we get you cited

This is where we start, and it is what most agencies are not doing yet.

    • Answer-first content structure. A direct, extractable answer near the top of every page that matters. Engines lift clean answers, not buried ones.
    • Citation-worthy facts. Content built around specific, verifiable, named-source statistics. Engines cite pages that contain quotable facts. Vague marketing copy gets skipped.
    • Entity consistency. Your brand name, founder, address, category and details matched across your site, Google Business Profile, social profiles and third-party listings.
    • Structured data. Product, FAQ, Article, Organization and LocalBusiness schema, so engines get a machine-readable summary rather than guessing.
    • Machine-readable rendering. Content present in the initial HTML, not injected by JavaScript. If a crawler cannot read it, it does not exist.
    • Question coverage. Content mapped to the actual questions your buyers ask AI, not to keyword volume alone.
    • Brand mentions and third-party presence. Engines weigh what other sites say about you, not just what you say about yourself.

    The SEO foundation underneath

GEO without SEO is a house with no foundation. Most URLs cited in AI Overviews also rank in the traditional top ten, so the ranking work is not optional.

    • Site structure, internal linking and crawlability
    • Product and collection pages optimised for buyer-intent keywords
    • Core Web Vitals, speed and mobile experience
    • XML sitemap and robots configuration
    • Topical authority through content built to be cited, not just to rank
    • Reviews, testimonials and case studies as trust signals
    • Local SEO signals for Australia and Melbourne where relevant

SEO gets you into the set of pages an engine trusts. GEO decides whether you are the one it names.

What is GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation)?

GEO is the practice of increasing the likelihood that your brand is named and cited inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. It focuses on making content easy for a model to extract, attribute and trust: direct answers, verifiable facts with named sources, structured data, and consistent entity signals across the web.

What is AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation)?

AEO is the practice of structuring content so answer engines can extract a clean, direct response to a specific question. In practice it means leading with the answer rather than building up to it, using clear question-shaped headings, and formatting content so a single passage fully answers a single question.

    How the programme runs

Month 0, audit and baseline. Full 12-point audit. We record your current AI visibility across the buyer queries that matter, so you have a starting line. We walk you through it together on the call.

Month 1, technical and structural fixes. Crawlability, rendering, schema, entity consistency, internal linking and page speed. The unglamorous month everything else depends on.

Months 2 to 3, commercial pages and citable content. Restructure the pages closest to revenue for extraction. Begin publishing content built to be cited, not just to rank.

Months 3 onward, compounding. Expand topical coverage, build authority, keep testing. Report monthly on organic revenue and on AI visibility across all five engines.

Meaningful movement usually takes 3 to 6 months, and competitive categories take longer. Anyone promising you results in 30 days is either lucky or lying.

What shapes the scope of your programme

Every store needs something different, so we scope after the audit rather than quoting from a rate card.

How many products need optimising. A 40-product catalogue and a 900-SKU catalogue are different jobs. Product and collection pages are where ecommerce SEO revenue actually sits, so volume matters.

How many keywords and buyer queries you want to compete for. Twenty terms in a narrow niche is a different programme to three hundred across a broad category.

Beyond those two: how competitive your category is, how much content production you need, and how much technical work your current site requires before anything else can move.

The audit comes first, always. We will not quote you before we have seen what is actually wrong, and we will tell you on the call if the honest answer is that you are not ready for this yet.

"Most brands have never once checked what AI says about their category. It takes ten minutes and it usually changes the conversation."

Best for ecommerce brands that want to

    • Be named when a shopper asks an AI what to buy in your category
    • Rank Shopify and WooCommerce product and collection pages for buyer-intent searches
    • Build topical authority instead of chasing scattered keywords
    • Grow organic revenue without scaling ad spend every month
    • Fix technical issues quietly holding the whole store back

This is probably not for you if

    • You need revenue this month. AI visibility and SEO compound over quarters, not weeks
    • Your store converts poorly. Sending more traffic to a leaky store makes the leak bigger. Fix conversion first
    • You are not willing to publish content. Citability requires something worth citing

We run this on our own site first

We are not an SEO agency that added AI search to the pitch deck. We run this programme on elinix.ai, track our own citation rate across all five engines, and refine the method on ourselves before it reaches a client store.

    • We test our own AI visibility across buyer queries monthly and record the results
    • We publish research on Australian ecommerce search rather than recycled overseas advice
    • Every recommendation ties to organic revenue, not to rankings or impressions

You work with a team, not just a founder

Elinix AI is led by Ewen Ling, who has spent 16+ years building, scaling and exiting ecommerce businesses. We have worked with 100+ Australian brands.

On this programme you work with Ewen and with our dedicated team of AI search specialists, who run the SEO, AEO and GEO work day to day: the technical audit, entity and schema work, content structured for extraction, citation tracking across all five engines, and your monthly reporting.

That combination is the point. The specialists know how engines crawl, parse, extract and attribute a page. Ewen knows whether the traffic it earns will actually sell product. Plenty of agencies have one or the other. You get both, on the same call.

Every recommendation gets filtered through one question first: does this actually sell more product?

Our SEO and AI search programme is newer than our email and website services, and we do not yet have a published multi-year case study. What we do have is a documented method, our own site as a live test bed, and a refusal to promise rankings we cannot control.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

AI engines cite sources they can crawl, parse and trust. Get cited by answering specific questions directly near the top of the page, including verifiable facts attributed to named sources, using structured data, keeping your brand details consistent across the web, and earning mentions on third-party sites. Ranking well in traditional search also matters, because most pages cited in AI answers already rank in the top ten.

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It is the practice of increasing the likelihood your brand is named and cited inside AI-generated answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. It differs from SEO in emphasis rather than technique: SEO optimises for ranking a page, GEO optimises for being quoted in an answer.

SEO helps your pages rank in traditional search results. AEO structures content so answer engines can extract a clear, direct answer. GEO increases the likelihood your brand is named and cited inside AI-generated answers. They are three layers of one job. The technical foundation is shared, and the difference lies in how content is structured and how strongly your brand reads as a recognisable entity.

No. Most URLs cited inside Google AI Overviews also rank in the traditional top ten, so ranking work still does the heavy lifting. What has changed is that ranking no longer guarantees a click, because roughly a quarter of Google searches now show an AI Overview. Be cautious of anyone selling GEO as a replacement for SEO rather than a layer on top of it.

Ask them. Open ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini and type the five questions your buyers actually ask, for example 'best organic skincare brands in Australia'. Record whether you appear, who does appear, and what is said about them. Repeat monthly. It costs nothing and it is the only baseline that matters.

For informational queries, very likely. Zero-click behaviour is rising and AI Overviews reduce clicks to results below them. Commercial and transactional queries behave differently, and the traffic that does arrive converts substantially better. Adobe found AI-referred visitors converted 42% better than non-AI traffic in March 2026. Fewer visits, higher intent.

Expect 3 to 6 months for meaningful movement, longer in competitive categories. Technical fixes can show up within weeks. Citation frequency, authority and topical coverage build over quarters. Anyone promising visibility in 30 days is describing something other than sustainable organic growth.

Every programme is scoped after a free audit. Pricing depends on store size, category competitiveness, how many products need optimising, and how many keywords and buyer queries you want to compete for. We do not quote from a rate card because scope cannot be known before the problems are. Book a free AI visibility audit and we'll walk through what you actually need.

Yes. Both platforms handle basic SEO reasonably well and neither does the commercial or AI-visibility work for you. Collection page targeting, product page depth, schema, entity consistency and answer-first content are all manual. Shopify in particular has URL structure quirks around collections and products that need managing deliberately.

Schema gives engines a machine-readable summary of what a page is about, who published it and what facts it contains. It is not a direct ranking factor, and it removes ambiguity at the exact moment an engine decides whether it understands your page well enough to cite it. Product, FAQ, Article, Organization and LocalBusiness matter most for ecommerce.

We run a 12-point technical and content audit, then test your live visibility by asking ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini the questions your buyers ask and recording whether you appear. On the call we walk through it with you and explain what each finding means and why it matters, rather than sending a report and leaving you to interpret it. The audit is free and there is no obligation.
